If you want to live according to the Gospel you will have to go against your entire household; against the society; against all and Christ will be with you.
A thousand times better-off to be broke with Christ rather than a millionaire with the devil.
A thousand times better-off to be a maid and to swipe the streets than to be a premadonna of Kolonaki (affluent suburb of Athens) living in spiritual corruption and immorality.
A thousand times better-off to be a deacon, a thousand times better-off to be a monk than to be a patriarch who violates the Holy Cannons.
A thousand times better-off in exile, locked-up in a dungeon than to be a wretched a rasophore preaching lies.
May our Lord Jesus Christ resurrect in the bosoms of our Church hierarchs with the stature, fortitude and grandeur comparable to that of Saint John Chrysostom, through the intercessions of whom may God have mercy on us all.
